A lily of the valley

I took these photos in my garden this morning.
They are "Suzu-ran(lily of the valley)"... very small and cute!! I really love them.

The flower appear the shape of "bell", doesn't it??

Japanese people of the past thought so.
"Suzu" means "bell" in Japanese(*^^*).
Incidentally, "Ran" means "orchid".
Can you fully understand?

I planted them a few years ago, and I haven't taken care of them.
But they show their flower to me.
They seem frail on the surface, but might be strong, I guess.

They thrive in shade.

They always look down shyly.

This flower is common in Japan.
How about your country?

Dear Choko,

I think the suzuran will be my favorite japanese flower. As always, your pictures take my breath away. You are my favorite photographer. Please post many more pictures and join a photo exhibit contest.

I am so proud o you!!!!

Thanks for the compliment!
I always use a digital camera which I bought at a bargain...hehe

I love the photo of suzuran if I do say so myself.
And now, I'm thinking that I want to make picture postcards of the photo and send them to my friend!!
Don't you think it is good idea?

By the way, I'm going to my parents' house this weekend.
Of course, I'm going to take a lot of photos of my dog!!
