Britain in Japan??

I live in Japan but Britain is near here!
To be more exact, "British hills" is correct.
What is it?? Uh... I don't think most of people know about it.

British hills is in Japan, but we have to speak English and can have a British experience there.
And I have been there with my husband, and we took afternoon tea.
Scone, quiche and sandwich... Everything was delicious!!

Later, I heard that I can learn how to scone there. Of course, I need to use Eiglish but it is good for me, I guess(*^^*)

Happy Face

Look at her face!! She seems happy, doesn't she?
A man who wears a yellow T-shirt is my husband --- I'm sorry, I can't show his face here ... hehe
He lies down and rests in this photo and my dog stays close to him.
This happens all the time when my dog and he stay together even if I stay there.

But she always makes a request to me for food and walk, not to him.
We don't know what is on her mind, but it is OK!!
That's who she is (*^^*)v

Christmas rose

It is springtime in Japan, not Christmas season... but Christmas roses in my garden are blooming now (^-^)
I planted them last winter and I have thought that they wouldn't bloom in a few years.

I grow three types of them, and the others have blossom buds now.
I am looking forward to seeing blooming flowers.

Neighborhood Association

Have you ever heard of "Neighborhood Association" ?
And... Is it common in your country?
In Japan, it's common and sometimes too much of a bother.
I know that it is good for us to keep peace around here.
But some people do go too far and they annoy me (T-T)
Because they are nagging and meddle in other family's private affairs !!

Actually our family is taking charge of a group leader for a one-year period starting from next month.
We rotate the post among my neighbors and can't reject it.
So it is our turn this year.

It is Sunday today but my husband is in attendance at their meeting now.
I wish it completes without incident(^-^)

Japanese cherry

I took this photo in a park near my parents' house last year.
Cherry blossoms in my area usually reach full bloom around the end of April but they will bloom earlier than usual, I guess.
There are a lot of beautiful spot filled with full bloomed cherry blossoms in Japan.
Of course, I see these pink blossoms every year, and that is why I love spring.
Many Japanese people go cherry blossom viewing with their coworkers, family or friends and I think it is good.
But some people have a mad time and litter with their trash around trees.
It's a crying shame. What should we do??

Flower arrangement

I'm all thumbs, so I'm never one for creative art until now.
But I took IKEBANA up from 2 weeks ago, because my mother-in-law is an instructor of IKEBANA --- it's Japanese flower arrangement.

And... this is my second work!!
I used a blue flower organ at that time but... I think black one is the best in this case.

Becase I use colorful flower so it has no decorum, I guess.
If I used black one, these beautiful flowers might look better...
What do you think?

One year ago

My husband and I went to Cairns at this time last year.
That was my first time to travel abroad so I was very excited!!
There are many interesting animals, birds and fishes in Australia.

I saw some koalas at a zoo in Kuranda and they were so cute!!
Their behavior was really funny, so I could never be bored with them.
I was too intent on them at that time and I forgot to have my picture taken while holding a koala!!... I have only regret about it (T-T)

That's why I hope to go to Australia again and if possible, I want to go to other cities, too.

My dog

My dog is female, 9-year-old.
She is just like my sister and daughter!
But I don't live with her...
Because she's lived at my parents' house since she was born, my mother and I think that space is the best for her. I really miss her though.

She is not friendly, so she's never become attached to people who haven't lived with her.
But she loves my husband!
When she stayed at my home, she always stayed very close to him.
Hmmm...She might share a rivalry with me.
Am I too serious??

White Day

It's a beautiful day today and... I'm happy(*^^*)
Because it was "White Day" yesterday in Japan and I got some gifts... strawberry-flavored tea and snack from my husband and three small fishes for appreciation from my dad.

Japanese women give chocolate to their boyfriend and sometimes male coworkers on Valentine's Day.
And men who got chocolate from women give some presents to them on White Day.

In my case, I gave chocolate to my husband and my father and got some gifts from them.
And one of gifts is three small fishes in the bottle.
Actually, it was delivered by express delivery last night.
When I open a package, I was surprised!!
...It's a natural result, I guess.
